Signa Drive
RC4558P-based TS-style overdrive with 3-way clipping selector and touch-sensitive response.
CMAT Mods was founded by Chad Matthews and became a full-time enterprise when he began working with pedal builder Greg Blessing. Their designs focus on boutique tone using premium components and meticulous construction.
The Signa Drive is a highly acclaimed take on the classic TS-9 overdrive circuit, built around the coveted RC4558P chip. The design delivers harmonics, superior touch sensitivity, and tube amp-like tone that responds dynamically to playing technique.
A 3-way clipping style selector enables everything from bright, airy clean boost to rich fat rhythm tones to thick, creamy lead sounds. The Classic, Boost, and Compressed modes provide distinct textures and breakup characteristics for different playing situations.
Built with 1% metal film resistors, Alpha pots, Switchcraft jacks, Davies knobs, double-sided PCB with plated holes, EH 3PDT true bypass switch, and military-grade wiring. Works on 9V battery or adapter.
