CMAT Mods was founded by Chad Matthews and became a full-time enterprise when he began working with pedal builder Greg Blessing. Their designs focus on boutique tone using premium components and meticulous construction.

The Ratified (originally called the Black Plague) is built around the LM308N chip, providing everything from bluesy breakups to thick, lush distortion with excellent sustain. A 3-way toggle switch offers additional voicing options beyond the Filter, Gain, and Level controls.

Compared to mass-produced RAT pedals, the Ratified delivers richer, fuller sound without the fizzy high-end. The pedal can run up to 18V for enhanced headroom and improved clarity. Fully analog construction with easy editing and comprehensive tonal options.

Built with Switchcraft jacks, Alpha pots, 1% metal film resistors, Davies knobs, and EH 3PDT true bypass switch. Chad Matthews stands behind his products with exceptional customer service. Works on 9V battery or adapter.
