Diamond Pedals, founded in Halifax, Nova Scotia in 2003, became legendary for their Compressor and Memory Lane delay. The brand was reborn under SolidGoldFX in 2023 and is now built in Montreal.

The Diamond Compressor is widely considered one of the finest guitar compressors ever made. It uses a Vactrol opto-isolator - the same technology found in high-end studio compressors - for smooth attack and decay characteristics that preserve initial transients while adding sustain and polish.

The signature tilt EQ provides musical frequency shaping: darker jazz voicings to brighter jangle with flat response at center. Double filtering eliminates low-frequency modulation artifacts. Bi-color LED shows compression depth. Premium components including 2% polypropylene caps, 1% metal film resistors, and pro-audio op-amps. True bypass, runs on 9-24V DC.
