The DOD Deep Freeze FX63 is a vintage analog stereo chorus from DOD's classic FX series. It uses bucket-brigade device (BBD) technology to create warm, lush chorus effects that digital circuits often struggle to replicate.
The two-knob layout offers Speed (rate) and Width (depth) controls, providing enough range to go from subtle thickening to dramatic warbling. The stereo outputs allow for immersive spread when running into two amps or a stereo effects loop.
As part of DOD's affordable FX line from the 1980s-90s, the Deep Freeze brought quality chorus to players on a budget. While not as feature-rich as the Ice Box FX64, its simplified controls make it easy to dial in usable tones quickly.
