Envelope Filter 440
Dynamic envelope filter with Range control and Up/Down voice switch for funk tones.
The DOD Envelope Filter 440 is a reissue of DOD's classic auto-wah circuit, updated with modern features while retaining the analog character that made the original a funk favorite. The envelope-controlled filter responds to your picking dynamics, opening up with harder attacks.
The Level control adjusts sensitivity to match your playing style and pickup output. The Range knob sets which frequencies the filter sweep covers, from bass-heavy wah to cutting treble. The Up/Down voice switch is particularly useful—Up emphasizes the attack portion of the sweep while Down highlights the decay.
At only 4mA current draw, the 440 is extremely power-efficient. The reissue adds true bypass (the original colored your signal when off), making it more pedalboard-friendly for modern players chasing Jerry Garcia or Bootsy Collins tones.
