The DOD Looking Glass uses a Class-A FET gain stage to deliver overdrive tones that feel organic and amp-like. FETs (Field-Effect Transistors) have similar characteristics to tubes, producing smooth compression and rich harmonics as they're driven harder.
The Hi/Lo gain switch expands the pedal's range from subtle boost to saturated overdrive. The active Bass and Treble controls provide significant EQ shaping—not just minor tone tweaks—letting you voice the overdrive for any amp or pickup combination.
