Yngwie J. Malmsteem Preamp Overdrive YJM308

The DOD YJM308 is Yngwie Malmsteen's signature overdrive, based on the classic DOD 250 circuit that the Swedish virtuoso has used throughout his career. Malmsteen worked with DOD to voice this version to his exact specifications.

Like the 250, the YJM308 uses op-amp clipping for its distinctive midrange character, but the voicing has been tweaked to match Malmsteen's preference for smooth, singing lead tones. The simple Gain and Level controls maintain the original's straightforward operation.

Malmsteen is known for running multiple overdrives to achieve his saturated neo-classical tone, and the YJM308 is designed to stack well with other pedals.
