Hello Beaver
Kawaii-themed DS-1/Big Muff hybrid with 8 clipping modes, dual op-amps, and Muff toggle.
Drunk Beaver is a Polish pedal company founded by Ukrainian builder Vitalii Bobrov. The Hello Beaver is a limited-edition Kawaii-themed version of their Distortion pedal, with fewer than 50 ever made.
Inside, it's the same massively expanded '78 MIJ DS-1 circuit. Eight clipping modes (boost, LEDs, '78 silicon, '94 1N914, asymmetric Soviet D9 germanium, asymmetric 1N914, MOSFETs, and 1N4001), a vintage/modern op-amp toggle (NOS MIJ vs TI RC4580), and a Muff toggle that engages a Big Muff-style transistor gain stage for compressed, fat tones.
Level, Dist, and Tone controls work alongside a 3-position Mids switch (stock scoop, less scooped, flat). The pink Kawaii styling references the Fender Hello Kitty guitars. True bypass, 30mA draw from 9V DC center-negative.
