Bass Mid Control II
Sweepable mid-frequency EQ for bass. Dial in 120Hz-3kHz to cut through or add growl.
E.W.S. (Engineering Work Store) started in 2006 as a Tokyo repair shop before becoming known for their Arion Chorus mods and original bass pedals. They work closely with Xotic, distributing their products in Japan.
The Bass Mid Control II is an active mid-frequency EQ that lets bassists dial in exactly where they sit in the mix. The Frequency knob sweeps from 120Hz to 3kHz while Boost/Cut provides ±12dB of surgical control. Session bassist Sean O'Bryan Smith uses it to 'jump out in the mix without plastering the sound guy with extra decibels.'
Works beautifully on passive basses needing extra growl or active basses seeking more definition. Run it at 18V for additional headroom. True bypass, compact enclosure, runs on 9V battery.
A subtle but essential tool. Once you find your setting, you won't want to play without it.
