Little Fuzzy Drive
Retro fuzz tones with modern reliability. Op-amp circuit sidesteps finicky germanium.
E.W.S. (Engineering Work Store) designed the Little Fuzzy Drive to capture vintage fuzz character without the temperature sensitivity and inconsistency of germanium transistors. They achieved this using an op-amp circuit that delivers the same tonal magic with modern reliability.
The toggle switch offers two personalities: Fuzzy Drive mode for tight, high-gain distortion, and Fat Fuzz mode for thicker sound with a midrange boost. Highly touch-sensitive. Back off your guitar volume for less distortion, dig in for more gain. At higher settings, you'll find quasi-octave effects and endless sustain.
Three controls (Gain, Volume, Tone) pack into a 1.5" x 3.5" enclosure. Described as 'fuzz for non-fuzz guys' because it's accessible and musical rather than wild and unpredictable.
Retains low end well and goes from pleasant grind to full-on wall of fuzz. True bypass.
