EarthQuaker Devices collaborated with Sunn O))) to capture their front-end signal chain for the Life Metal album. Distortion, analog octave-up, and boost in one enclosure.

The distortion section is based on the 'white face' RAT with three clipping modes: no diodes (grinding op-amp assault), asymmetrical silicon/LED (compressed valve-like crunch), and stock silicon (classic RAT). Analog octave-up adds Shin-ei FY-2 style upper harmonics.

The boost section is a discrete MOSFET clean boost for pushing tube amps into saturation. V3 added a dedicated octave footswitch with expression control.

Designed to drive vintage Sunn Model T amplifiers into 'overload ecstasy.'
