Electro-Harmonix built the Mono Synth as a dedicated guitar-to-synth converter. Eleven synth voices respond to your picking dynamics.
The algorithm tracks pitch and converts to synthesizer output. Eleven preset voices cover leads, basses, pads, and effects. Sens and Ctrl knobs adjust tracking and voice parameters.
Monophonic only - single notes, not chords. But the tracking is tight and the synth sounds are usable in a band context. Dry blend lets guitar peek through.
Guitar-to-synth without the complexity of hex pickups and MIDI.
