Electro-Harmonix
POG (Big Box)
Octave
The original Polyphonic Octave Generator that changed what octave pedals could do.
Electro-Harmonix introduced the POG in 2005 and changed octave pedals forever. First polyphonic octave that actually tracked chords.
Before the POG, octave pedals were monophonic only. The POG's DSP algorithm tracks every note in a chord and generates octave voices without glitching. Sub-octave and octave-up voices blend with dry signal.
The big box format has slider controls and a larger footprint. This is where the POG legacy started before the Micro and Nano versions.
The pedal that proved polyphonic octave was possible.
