Superego

Electro-Harmonix evolved the Freeze concept into the Superego. Infinite sustain with added synth processing and effects loop.

Like the Freeze, it captures and sustains audio. The Superego adds glissando between sustained notes, effects loop for processing the sustained sound, and multiple layers of sustain.

Auto mode continuously samples and sustains as you play. Momentary mode works like the Freeze. Latch mode holds until you step again. The effects loop lets you add modulation, filtering, or anything else.

The Freeze grew up into a serious sound design tool.
