Empress Effects built their Compressor to bring studio-grade dynamics control to pedalboards. Optical compression with extensive control.

Attack, Release, Ratio, and Threshold provide real compressor parameters. Mix control enables parallel compression. Sidechain EQ lets you filter what frequencies trigger compression. Input and Output meters show levels visually.

The MKII adds improved noise floor and updated circuitry. Sparkle editions offer cosmetic variations on the same circuit.
