The Geranium pairs a single NOS germanium transistor with op-amp stages, boosting the internal voltage from 9V to 32V for exceptional headroom.
Five controls shape the drive character: Level sets output, Drive ranges from medium gain to full fuzz, and Scoop removes mids for tighter tones. The Bias switch selects between two germanium voicings for different saturation characters, while the Bright switch adds high-frequency emphasis.
The germanium transistor provides warm, touch-sensitive response throughout the gain range. Noiseless relay switching. Name plays on the Geranium/Germanium connection. Discontinued.
