The AM4 squeezes the Axe-Fx III's amp modeling engine into a pedalboard-friendly format with four footswitches. Over 240 component-level amp models, 45+ DynaCabs, 75+ drive emulations, and 150+ effect types. Runs on a 1 GHz ARM A15 + C66x DSP at 2ms latency.

104 presets with four scenes each and gapless switching. Amp Mode gives you four channels per preset with one-tap boost. Stereo balanced TRS outputs, a stereo analog insert loop for outboard gear, headphone jack, S/PDIF I/O, USB-C (4x4 audio + MIDI), and 3.5mm MIDI in/out. Two expression pedal jacks round out the connectivity.

Released November 2025 at $699, the AM4 targets players who want Fractal's amp tones without the full FM3/FM9 multi-effects commitment. AM4-Edit software handles deep preset building from a computer.
