The OGR Stage 3 is a vactrol-based optical compressor designed in collaboration with Electronic Audio Experiments (John Snyder).

Four knobs control the compression: Compression amount, Treble, Bass (active 2-band Baxandall EQ), and Volume. A 7-LED gain reduction meter provides visual feedback of compression depth. Wide gain adjustment sweep covers subtle leveling to heavy squeeze.

Kurt Ballou uses the OGR on every bass track recorded at God City Studio. "Stage 3" refers to the artwork/graphics revision. Designed for both guitar and bass.
