Black Fuzz
The original Greer circuit. Overdriven Bassman with fuzz on top, single Volume knob.
The Black Fuzz started it all for Greer Amps. This is their original circuit, the pedal that launched the company. Imagine an overdriven Bassman amp with a slight amount of fuzz tacked on top, and you're in Black Fuzz territory.
One knob is all you need. The single Volume control sets output level while the guitar's volume knob and your pick attack do the rest. This pedal is extremely touch-sensitive: dig in and it barks, back off and beautiful semi-clean sounds emerge. Notes seem to bloom.
The Black Fuzz is fat and pick-responsive. It responds incredibly well to playing dynamics, letting your own technique shine through instead of getting buried. The circuit produces that big, raunchy sound of an amp being pushed with fuzz layered on top.
Hand-wired in Athens, Georgia. True bypass, 9V operation, lifetime warranty to original owner.
