Green Giant

The Green Giant was never a production pedal. It was only built for endorsers who had a relationship with Greer Amps, making it a rare piece for collectors. The circuit is a modification of the Black Fuzz, itself a modified Electra Distortion circuit.

The big difference is the addition of a Blend dial (labeled Clean Mix). This affects how much signal gets clipped by the diodes versus how much clean signal passes through. Oddly, the amount of distortion increases as you turn the Clean Mix knob to the left, which is by design.

Two knobs total: Volume and Clean Mix. You can sweeten your tone by mixing in just the right amount of dirt, or run it as a full-on Black Fuzz with the blend dialed all the way down. Very organic sounding overdrive, similar to the Ghetto Stomp and Black Fuzz.
