Royal Velvet

The Royal Velvet is a Class-A British Drive and Preamp pedal emulating the characteristics of a Vox 30-watter and a Greer Thunderbolt30 combined. British drive with chimey character, delivered through a steel core transformer that creates unique tonal loading.

The same transformer used in the SOMA '63 provides authentic amp-like response. At 9V, you get grind and slight compression with the gain up. At 18V, the feel becomes stiff with more clean headroom and that British sparkle.

The tone sits dialed in right between AC and Thunderbolt30 tones. Functions as both a drive pedal and preamp. Stacks well with other drives for additional gain staging.

Enclosure measures 4.77" x 2.6" x 1.39". 9-18V operation at 15mA. Available in standard green or custom black. True bypass with 5-year warranty to original owner.
