Soma 63
XFR series vintage preamp emulating brown-era California amps. Steel core transformer in signal path.
The SOMA '63 is the first pedal in Greer's XFR series, designed as a true vintage preamp based on the tone and feel of brown-era amplifiers from California. It replicates the entire preamp stage, phase inverter, power section, and the character of vintage 10-inch Utah speakers.
The steel core transformer sits in the audio signal path and saturates when pushed hard with high-output pickups, mimicking vintage amp behavior. Tone stack offers dynamic tonal options. Presence control works with the tone stack as a wide-range control affecting the entire circuit.
At 9V, the SOMA '63 produces more grit and texture. At 18V, headroom increases and response becomes stiffer. This voltage flexibility lets you dial in the exact feel you want.
Enclosure measures 4.77" x 2.6" x 1.39". Current draw: 10mA at 9V, 18mA at 18V. True bypass with 5-year warranty.
