Tarpit

The Tarpit was created out of the desire for vintage Muff-style fuzz with grit and grind that will sustain for days. Based on the Big Muff Pi variant using two integrated circuits (not the standard 4-transistor version), with some Greer tweaks.

Sustain control set low gets dark and spitty with an almost gated feel. Increasing Sustain makes it slightly brighter while fuzz, sustain, and harmonics all increase. Tone control cuts treble and boosts bass when down; push it higher for AM radio-type frequencies.

Volume uses a later taper potentiometer to allow awesome sustain and fuzz at lower volumes when needed. Top-mounted jacks help with pedalboard layout. Custom Oxblood Davies control knobs.

Enclosure measures 3.68" x 4.67" x 1.18". 9V battery or standard neg center 2.1mm power supply. True bypass with lifetime warranty.
