The Southland

The Southland Harmonic Overdrive takes the Lightspeed platform to the next level with more gain, two stages of clipping using different diode types, and a revoiced EQ. The result is thick harmonics with amazing sustain and a focused midrange that helps cut through the mix.

Unlike the mid-hump found in many overdrives, the Southland's focused midrange sounds natural rather than annoying. Extended presence on top of the signal adds clarity without harshness. It covers territory the Lightspeed doesn't reach while maintaining the same touch sensitivity and dynamic response.

Mild to medium overdrive and crunch tones are the sweet spot. The Southland pairs exceptionally well with the Lightspeed for rich, harmonics-filled stacked tones. Both share the same enclosure dimensions and 9-18V operation.
