El Castillo
Arpeggiating reverb with pitch-shift in the feedback loop. 0-800ms delay stretches the pitch intervals.
Hungry Robot Pedals is a boutique builder creating ambient and experimental effects that work equally well on guitar, synths, or other instruments.
El Castillo combines reverb, pitch-shift, and delay blocks into an experimental ambient pedal. The pitch-shift sits in the reverb feedback loop, creating stair-step pitch arpeggios as signal recirculates. The Stretch knob adds 0-800ms delay to the feedback path, spreading out the pitch intervals.
Two modes: Un-Quantized allows any pitch between -1 and +1 octave, while Quantized locks to octaves with a crossfade knob between down and up. Level controls wet mix, Regen sets decay and arpeggiation count.
