AD-80 Analog Delay
1980-81 bucket-brigade delay with 300ms max time. Requires 18V power, ultra-dark repeats. Rare collector piece.
Ibanez is a Japanese guitar and accessory manufacturer owned by Hoshino Gakki. Their vintage effects from the late 70s and early 80s are highly sought after by collectors and tone purists.
The AD-80 was produced 1980-1981 using MN3005 bucket-brigade chips for true analog delay up to 300ms. The 18V power requirement (unusual for pedals) allows for better headroom and signal quality. Repeats are notably dark and warm.
Controls include Delay Time, Repeat (feedback), and Blend. Uses mini-jack power input rather than standard barrel connector. Drains batteries quickly. The predecessor to the more common AD-9, originals are increasingly rare and valuable.
