Death Muff

Intensive Care Audio builds effects in London, England with a darkly humorous medical theme. Founded in 2020 by Patrick Smith, they fill a gap for bold, weird tones.

The Death Muff is recognizably a Big Muff variant but with an added Chaos control that transforms its character. Fuzz, Tone, and Chaos interact dynamically. At higher Chaos settings, the circuit takes on a gating effect, creating sputtering textures unavailable from standard Muffs.

BC337 and BC547 transistors (same as their Death Drive) produce a more aggressive, textured sound than typical Muff silicon. The fuzz responds well to guitar volume for gain control on the fly.
