Dezzyner
Mid-1960s Dizzy Tone fuzz clone with NOS Russian germanium transistors, master volume added to original circuit.
The Dezzyner revives the legendary mid-1960s Dizzy Tone fuzz, one of the earliest transistor-based fuzz circuits favored by garage rock and psychedelic players. RoShi sources NOS Russian germanium transistors and Japanese germanium diodes, hand-selecting each component for consistency and tonal character.
Four knobs control Sustain (gain/harmonic character), Balance (volume/brightness), Attack (bass/treble similar to Big Muff's tone control), and Master Volume (an addition not found on the original for modern output level matching). A gain mode switch toggles between Original and Low Gain voicings. Internal circuitry converts power to negative voltage, allowing standard center-negative supplies to be used with germanium transistors.
24mm Alpha pots provide improved response over standard 16mm pots. True bypass switching with 3mA current draw. The Dezzyner captures the gnarly, unstable fuzz tones of the original while adding modern practicality for pedalboard integration.
