Rattler mk3
RAT-style distortion with custom JAM op-amp. Two-way toggle for symmetric/asymmetric clipping options.
JAM Pedals has been hand-building effects in Athens, Greece since 2005. Founded by Jannis Anastasakis, they use through-hole components, point-to-point wiring, and hand-painted enclosures. Artists like John Scofield, Bill Frisell, and Nels Cline play JAM pedals.
With LM308 chips discontinued, JAM developed their own discrete op-amp that preserves the Rattler's dynamic, tube-like character. The mk3 adds a toggle switch to select symmetric or asymmetric clipping for different saturation profiles.
Level, Tone, and Gain controls. True bypass, 10mA draw. The proprietary op-amp ensures consistent tone production-to-production.
