3 Series Octave Reverb

JHS built the 3 Series Octave Reverb to recreate the shimmer effect that defined ambient music in the 1980s. The circuit blends reverb decay with octave-up pitch shifting, creating that angelic, crystalline wash that sounds like choir voices echoing through a cathedral.

Three knobs control reverb decay, octave mix, and overall level. The toggle switches between standard reverb and full shimmer mode. When you hit a chord, the reverb decay generates octave harmonics that bloom and sustain, transforming simple parts into atmospheric soundscapes.

At 65mA, it's efficient for digital processing with pitch shifting. Built in Kansas City. Shimmer reverb that once required rack units, now in a compact pedal.
