Nocturnal

Collision Devices is a French pedal builder creating ambient and experimental effects, with all products designed, assembled, and tested by hand in their workshop. They specialize in cinematic atmospheric soundtracks and ambient textures.

The Nocturnal is an ambient and textures creation box combining Shimmer Reverb, Dynamic Tremolo, and Modulated Delay. Each effect can be used together or separately with individual momentary or trails functions. The modulated delay is based on a warm tape delay circuit.

The shimmer reverb creates infinite, ethereal textures, while the dynamic tremolo oscillates faster as you attack the strings harder. The delay section offers Time (few ms to 1 second, with lo-fi character at longer settings) and Feedback controls, with easy self-oscillation around 7.5 on the Feedback knob.
