Mute Switch

JHS built the Mute Switch for professionals who need silent tuning and signal management between sets. The passive design requires 9V power only for the LED indicator—the switching circuit functions without power, maintaining signal integrity.

The latching footswitch cuts signal cleanly when engaged, with the LED changing from blue (signal passing) to red (muted). Unlike momentary switches, it holds the selected state until clicked again. The 3.6 x 1.5-inch enclosure fits anywhere on a board, and the circuit works equally well in front of amps or in effects loops.
