Plugin
Jordan Boss Tone recreation from Legends of Fuzz series. Floor pedal meets 1967 plug-in.
JHS created the Plugin to bring the 1967 Jordan Boss Tone into the modern pedalboard era. The original Boss Tone debuted at the 1966 NAMM Show as the first commercially successful plug-in effect in America, measuring just 1¾ by 2¼ inches and connecting directly to your guitar's output jack. George Cole and engineer Bob Garcia at Jordan Electronics built something guitarists had never seen before.
The Plugin translates that unique fuzz voice into a floor-based stompbox without losing the original's character. The circuit delivers aggressive silicon-style bite with a distinct midrange push that cuts through any mix. A side-mounted push button activates JHS Mode, adding a hard-clipping stage for louder, more robust mid-forward tones.
Volume and Fuzz controls keep operation simple. The bent-steel Legends of Fuzz enclosure houses the circuit in black crinkle finish. Four milliamps of current draw. Boss Tone tone without hunting down vintage units.
