Pink Panther
Digital delay with dual engines and modulation. Unapologetically digital, 1000ms max delay time.
JHS designed the Pink Panther as the digital counterpart to the analog Panther Cub. Where the Cub delivers bucket brigade warmth, the Pink Panther embraces pristine digital processing without pretending to be analog. The circuit runs two delay engines—digital and tape—each with two modulation options plus an unaffected mode.
Delay time spans from short slapback to one full second (1000ms). The Darken control functions as EQ, cutting highs to emulate aged tape or opening up for bright, modern digital repeats. Tap tempo with ratio control provides rhythmic subdivisions. Mix, Repeats, and Time knobs match standard delay layouts.
At 75mA, it's slightly hungrier than the analog Panther Cub but still reasonable for digital processing. The Pink Panther handles clean digital delay tasks the Cub can't—no smooth spaceship oscillations, just reliable, pristine repeats.
