Prestige
Buffer, boost, and overdrive in one knob. Three zones from transparent to meaty breakup.
JHS built the Prestige around a single volume knob that dramatically changes character across its range. The circuit functions as buffer, booster, and amp-pushing overdrive depending on where you set the control. It's the direct descendant of the long-discontinued Mr Magic pedal, simplified to essential functionality.
Low settings (0-25%) deliver transparent buffering and enhancement, making up for signal loss through extended cable runs while adding subtle brightness. Mid settings (25-75%) transform into dedicated volume boost for solo passages or gain staging before overdrive pedals. High settings (75-100%) deliver meaty natural breakup, driving tube amplifiers into saturation or creating secondary gain layers when stacked.
The Prestige works as always-on preamp or situational boost. Single-knob simplicity with progressive tonal shaping. At 7mA draw, barely registers on power supplies. $129 for three functions in one compact pedal.
