Summing Amp
Active buffer and mixer for combining multiple signal sources into single mono output path.
JHS built the Summing Amp for players and engineers who need to combine multiple signal sources without degradation. The circuit accepts two inputs and sums them into a single buffered mono output while maintaining impedance matching and proper gain staging. Whether combining guitar and bass for recording, mixing wet and dry signals from parallel effects chains, or routing multiple boards into one amp, the Summing Amp handles it cleanly.
The active buffer design prevents noise and preserves tone quality even with long cable runs. Level controls for each input allow you to balance the mix before it hits your amp or interface. The pedal works with input signals below 14V, with anything above causing intended clipping if desired.
The compact 3.6x1.5-inch enclosure sits flat on pedalboards or studio desktops. For complex routing needs, the Summing Amp simplifies signal management without compromising audio quality.
