Twin Twelve V2
Silvertone 1484 amplifier preamp in pedal form. Clean/Dirt toggle, Baxandall EQ, 18V charge pump.
JHS built the Twin Twelve V2 to recreate the legendary Silvertone 1484 Twin Twelve amplifier—the amp that powered early rock recordings before Marshalls and Fenders dominated. The all-analog circuit replicates the 1484's preamp and overdrive character with modern reliability.
The Drive knob functions like the amplifier's Volume control—as you turn it up, you get more overdrive and tube-like saturation just like cranking vintage iron. Bass and Treble controls are near-exact replications of the 1484's Baxandall tone circuit, with minor improvements for pedal format. The Volume knob adds the master volume control the original amp never had.
A Clean/Dirt toggle switches modes: Clean bypasses the Drive control entirely for pure preamp boost with blue LED, Dirt engages classic 1484 overdrive. The circuit runs a charge pump converting 9V to internal 18V for massive punch and amp-like dynamic range. $199 for forgotten amp history.
