Porkolator
Harmonic Percolator reimagined - not a clone but a sharpened, expanded take on Milwaukee's weird 70s distortion.
The Interfax Harmonic Percolator was a weird little distortion pedal from 1970s Milwaukee that developed a cult following for its unique, buzzy character. Joe Gore's Porkolator isn't a clone—it swipes ideas from the original circuit but sharpens the core tone and vastly expands the range.
The original Percolator's combination of germanium and silicon transistors in an unconventional arrangement created sounds that didn't quite fit any category. The Porkolator captures that oddball character while making it more usable.
Controls let you dial in everything from tight, focused distortion to loose, chaotic fuzz. Built in San Francisco with attention to the strange harmonic content that made the original Percolator a collector's item.
