Monolith
Tri-mode guitar distortion — heavily compressed D1, expressive D2, and lower-gain Overdrive. Analog circuit with Range pre-gain EQ.
The Monolith is a tri-mode analog guitar distortion from Laney's Black Country Customs range. The 3-position Mode switch selects D1 (heavily compressed, saturated distortion), D2 (softer, more expressive distortion responsive to pick dynamics), and Overdrive (lower-gain drive). Range controls the low-end cut before the gain stages, while Tone shapes the treble at the output.
All-analog circuitry with strong dynamic response to picking attack, particularly in D2 and Overdrive modes. Tri-color LED indicates mode. Buffered bypass. 9V DC center-negative or 9V battery, 10mA draw.
