Golden Cello
BJF overdrive with delay. Simulates fuzz into Marshall through tape echo in one pedal.
The Golden Cello combines Björn Juhl's overdrive circuit with built-in delay, capturing the sound of a vintage fuzz stacked with overdrive going into tape echo and a 100-watt Marshall. All in one pedal.
The overdrive section shares DNA with the Amber, delivering that thick fuzz-into-amp character. The delay adds tape-echo-style repeats that complete the vintage recording chain sound. Together they create tones that normally require multiple pedals and possibly a tape machine.
Controls manage both the drive character and delay parameters. The interaction between drive and delay is voiced to work together rather than fighting. This makes achieving complex vintage tones surprisingly straightforward.
A unique combination that appeals to players seeking vintage recording-style sounds without assembling complex signal chains. Less output than the Amber but the added delay functionality makes up for it.
