Shred Master
The 1991 distortion Jonny Greenwood used on OK Computer and The Bends. Discontinued, sought-after by Radiohead fans.
The Shredmaster delivered high-gain distortion for 90s metal and hard rock applications. The circuit provided extreme saturation with extensive EQ control for shaping heavy tones.
Four knobs: Gain, Bass, Contour, Treble plus Volume. The Contour control enabled dramatic midrange scooping or boosting. The high-gain circuit targeted metal players needing serious saturation.
Jonny Greenwood of Radiohead famously used the Shredmaster, proving its versatility beyond pure metal applications. The thick, harmonically rich distortion suited alternative rock and experimental music.
Discontinued but sought-after as vintage gear. The Shredmaster represented Marshall's take on extreme distortion during the high-gain pedal era.
