Part Garden Ge
Germanium variant of Part Garden collaboration featuring dual fuzz architecture, softer clipping and temperature drift compared to silicon, same I/II/III/Texture/YUH controls, relay bypass.
Part Garden Ge maintains the Collector//Emitter collaboration's dual fuzz architecture while employing germanium transistors for softer clipping, increased touch sensitivity, and temperature-dependent drift. Same control set as standard Part Garden: I/II/III volume controls at different stages, Texture for gain structure and compression, YUH toggle for range selection. Germanium transistors clip more gradually than silicon, producing warmer harmonic content and responding more dramatically to picking dynamics and guitar volume changes. The circuit's behavior shifts subtly as transistors warm during use—a characteristic some players exploit for evolving tones.
Standard 9V center-negative with relay bypass and top-mounted jacks. The germanium implementation requires careful transistor selection for consistent bias points, making each unit slightly unique. Appeals to players seeking vintage-style fuzz interaction and touch response within Part Garden's multi-stage architecture, particularly those who value the way germanium responds to pick attack and cleans up with guitar volume rollback.
