El Guapo

El Guapo offers a plethora of fuzz tones through voltage starvation. The signature Starve knob controls the amount of voltage fed to the circuit, with higher settings producing nastier sounds. Combined with the Gain control, this gives you a wide variety of fuzz characters from aggressive distortion down to nearly overdrive-like tones.

Four controls provide extensive tone-shaping: Cut reduces low frequencies when turned up, Starve decreases current to the second transistor stage as turned up, Gain controls input signal to the fuzz circuit, and Volume sets overall output. The voltage-starving approach creates unique fuzz textures not achievable with traditional fuzz circuits.

Running on just ~2mA from 9V center-negative power or 9V battery, El Guapo sips current while delivering massive tone. 4.8" × 2.62" × 1.55" die-cast aluminum enclosure. True bypass switching. Starve your fuzz, feed your soul.
