Rook
Pedal Of The Year 2011—classic overdrive with Baxandall EQ and 3-way clipping, astonishing note articulation.
The Rook won "What's That Dude Play? Pedal Of The Year 2011" for its exceptional overdrive character. Even with gain maxed, the Rook maintains astonishing note articulation and chord clarity, making it ideal for stacking with other drives without compromising tone.
Baxandall EQ section provides independent bass and treble adjustment that can cut or boost. Both down creates midrange hump, both up yields mid scoop. 3-way clipping toggle offers silicon diodes (up, classic overdrive), no clipping (center, louder and cleaner with pronounced EQ), or LED (down, raw and edgy, almost distortion).
Running on just ~6mA from 9V center-negative power or 9V battery, the Rook is incredibly current-efficient. 4.8" × 2.62" × 1.55" enclosure. True bypass switching. The new standard of boutique overdrives.
