Rook overdrive plus Speakeasy boost with order selector—used by Brad Whitford, Ty Tabor, Andy Timmons, Mark Tremonti.

The Rook Royale combines the award-winning Rook overdrive with a simplified two-knob version of the EP-3-based Speakeasy boost for added versatility. Both sections feature independent true bypass switching and can be configured in either order via the 2-way selector toggle.

Speakeasy section (left) offers Boost and Treble controls for EP-3-style clean boost character. Rook section (right) delivers the same Baxandall-driven EQ (Bass, Treble) and 3-way clipping toggle (LED/none/silicon) that made the standard Rook famous. Gain and Volume complete the Rook controls.

Running on ~30mA from 9V center-negative power, the Rook Royale delivers dual-circuit versatility in a 4.7" × 3.69" × 1.37" enclosure. Used by Brad Whitford (Aerosmith), Ty Tabor (King's X), Andy Timmons, Mark Tremonti, and Myles Kennedy (Alter Bridge).
