Superlative

The Superlative is a throwback to the sound of those small, vintage amps of days gone by. Mojo Hand designed this pedal to capture the gnarly overdriven tones from recording artists who used small amps pushed to the edge of destruction for recording.

The character sits somewhere between overdrive, distortion, and fuzz rather than fitting neatly into a single category. It offers its own distinct sonic identity. Tone, Gain, and Volume controls provide core tone-shaping, while a 2-way hi/low toggle emulates amplifier input selection for additional tonal variation.

Running on ~7mA from 9V center-negative power or 9V battery, the Superlative delivers vintage small amp character in a 4.8" × 2.62" × 1.55" enclosure. True bypass switching. Now discontinued—hunt for used units for this unique vintage amp-in-a-box character.
