Stylus
LoFi vinyl/tape modulator with Hi-Fi/Lo-Fi modes—Degrade, Warble, and Saturate add crackles, wobble, character.
The Stylus was conceived by and developed with Detroit keyboardist Galen Bundy, adding vinyl and tape-style warmth, warble, and anomalies to any instrument through simple and intuitive controls. Mode selector toggles Hi-Fi (up) versus Lo-Fi (down)—Lo-Fi alters bandwidth and introduces crackles and pops.
Four controls shape your degradation: Degrade introduces random volume dropouts and scratchiness when turned clockwise, Warble adjusts pitch wobble amount, Saturate simulates an overloaded receiver for adding character, and internal trimpot controls overall output volume (adjusted with flathead screwdriver). Hidden feature: using the pedal on one side of stereo signal widens stereo image while remaining balanced.
Running on ~80mA from 9V center-negative power (no battery), the Stylus delivers lo-fi character in a 4.42" × 2.64" × 1.88" enclosure. True bypass. Input impedance 340kΩ, output <100Ω. Hand-made in USA.
