JDS-50

The JDS-50 is a dynamic overdrive that responds like a cranked tube amplifier. Tones range from touch-sensitive crunch to thick harmonic-laden overdrive and near-full distortion, with an exceptionally fast transient response—attack is immediate and percussive with zero softening. The frequency spread is balanced to preserve your instrument's natural character rather than imposing its own coloration.

Controls include Drive, Tone, and output level. Runs on standard 9VDC, with 2019+ models supporting optional 18V via external power supply for increased headroom, clarity, and dynamic response. Cleans up responsively with guitar volume changes at any gain setting.

True bypass. 9VDC (18V capable), approximately 50mA. Handmade in Portland, Oregon. Production discontinued.
