Silicon Fuzz Face clone with NOS PN2396A transistors. Tighter low-end and remarkable cleanup.
Mythos Pedals reimagines the classic 1960s two-transistor fuzz circuit with their 1347 Silicon Fuzz, named for the year the Black Death reached Europe. Built exclusively for Mass Street Music, this pedal uses hand-selected NOS PN2396A transistors—relatively low-gain components chosen specifically for their cleanup characteristics.
The circuit sits somewhere between germanium warmth and silicon aggression. Mythos tightened the low end to work better across different pickups and widened the fuzz pot's range for more versatility. The signal path uses WIMA and Nichicon audio-grade caps with carbon comp resistors. An internal bias trimmer with test points lets you dial in the exact feel.
This isn't a vintage replica—it's a refined take on Fuzz Face DNA. Stacks beautifully with overdrives and cleans up remarkably well with your guitar's volume knob without thinning out.
