Spore

Spore is a handmade three-transistor fuzz pedal that blends Schottky and Silicon diodes for clipping character. The classic 3-transistor topology delivers vintage fuzz tones with added versatility through the diode selection and modern tone-shaping features.

The tonal controls include Bass and Treble EQ for frequency sculpting, while the Sag control adjusts voltage sag to introduce dynamic compression and touch sensitivity. An internal charge pump provides extra headroom, preventing the fuzz from becoming overly compressed or losing low-end authority when pushed hard.

Spore occupies Neural Devices' fuzz slot in their product line. The combination of vintage circuit topology and modern features like charge pump operation makes it suitable for both traditional and contemporary fuzz applications. The Schottky/Silicon diode blend offers tonal options beyond typical single-diode fuzz circuits.
